The steeply sloping churchyard is between two roads - The Roundabouts (behind the camera) and Brimscombe Hill. Because of the terrain, the church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4688467 was built the wrong way round, to fit onto the site. The nave, usually at the east end of a church, faces west.
