Walls and Gate at Ruthin Castle

Ruthin Castle was constructed during the late 13th century by Dafydd, the brother of Prince Llywelyn II, on a red sandstone ridge overlooking the valley. During the English Civil War the castle was slighted and what remains today have been incorporated into the Ruthin Castle Hotel. *Source: Wikipedia.
