PC Andrew Deller is a Neighbourhood Policing Officer based in Stratton, Swindon.

He began his career with Wiltshire Police as a Police Community Support Officer, working in the North Central Swindon sector. In 2018, he progressed to train as a Police Constable, initially serving on Swindon’s response teams before moving into neighbourhood policing.

Guodong has a particular interest in youth engagement and is actively involved in the Mini Police programme. He strongly believes in the power of early positive interactions between the police and young people, helping to build trust and inspire future interest in policing careers.

Fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, Guodong plays a key role in engaging with Swindon’s Chinese community and often supports colleagues with language needs to ensure effective communication and inclusive policing.

Detective Sergeant Kara Peet began her policing career in 2009 as a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) with Wiltshire Police. After four years in the role, she became a Police Constable in 2013. Since then, she has served in various departments, including Response Policing, the Public Protection Unit—where she completed her Detectives qualification—and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). She later progressed to Sergeant, returning to Response Policing before taking on a Detective Sergeant role focused on Serious Organised Crime.

In January 2025, Kara joined the Neighbourhood Policing Team, where she is enjoying the opportunity to build strong community relationships and tackle local issues.

Her professional interests include public protection, human trafficking, and exploitation. She finds it particularly rewarding to investigate and support individuals in breaking free from exploitative situations.

Inspector Lawrence Copeland is proud to be the Neighbourhood Inspector for the Stratton, Central Swindon, North and West Neighbourhood Policing Team.

With 21 years in policing, including roles in Response, Custody and various Neighbourhood teams, Lawrence is passionate about making a positive impact in this community.

PC 2804 Tara Plaister is a Neighbourhood Police Officer serving the Stratton, Central North and West areas of Swindon.

PC Mason joined the organisation in December 2018, initially serving two years as a Special Constable before taking up a full-time role in January 2021.

He spent three and a half years on Swindon’s frontline response teams, gaining extensive experience in fast?paced, community?focused policing. In January 2025, he moved to the Integrated Gangs Team, where his work has centred on youth violence, knife crime, and urban street gangs exploiting young people to deal drugs.

Continuing his commitment to safeguarding young people and disrupting criminal activity, PC Mason’s current focus includes targeting youth gangs, street?level drug dealing, and knife?related offences.

He is dedicated to proactive, intelligence?led policing to identify, disrupt, and deter offenders and organised groups operating in these areas.

Joe has been a police officer for 20 years, and has worked in Swindon since 2013 in a variety of roles never far from front line policing. He joined the NPT in 2023. Joe has a particular interest in how the police can work with partner agencies to develop innovative solutions to problems, and the use of new technologies in policing.

Joe holds ancillary roles as a Tactical Firearms Commander and Post Incident Manager, and also undertakes training roles within the organisation.
