One of the oldest parts of Kirkcaldy, Adam Smith Close (named after the 18th century economist who wrote ''The Wealth of Nations'') is a narrow alley (average width just over one metre) the entrance to which can be seen here between The Pet Shop and a beauty parlour. It runs from the High Street (where this photo was taken) to the Esplanade.
