In shadow on the right is the Old Library development – conversion of the old Free Library, at one time a school, to apartments. Further away, left, is Manor Court, a solid block of flats possibly from the 1970s. Beyond it is the Manor House development – conversion and extension of the Manor House Hotel, originally a private house, as apartments. Photographed with an iPhone 6, mid-June, middle of the day, in astonishing, almost Mediterranean light.
