The Banner in front of the Museum reads: "Wrapped, Packed & Ready to Go" as the contents are about to go into store prior to reopening in 2017 in what was originally St Albans Town Hall. When the museum was planned the original idea was to extend the building towards the camera, along the Hatfield Road frontage. This was never built - leaving a blank wall - and access to what is now the car park. Later the building was extended away from the road.
