Detail of Image Formerly of Lambeth, Charles Collinge is now based in India. The almost 200 year old 'Charles Collinge Hinge' and the 'WT Allen Post Box' are still very much in use and both still in production. The patent spherical hinge consists of a ball revolving in a cup socket. The Collinge patent axle trees are still to be found on vintage horse carriages.
