The brickworks closed in 1974, and became an industrial museum in 2007. The Victorian buildings are grade 2 listed, and were never updated during the working life of the brickworks, so parts of the ten-acre site are in a poor state of repair. The miniature railway seen here is a modern addition owned by the Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust, and is used to give rides to visitors on steam-powered trains.
