A monumental effort by L.G. Elkins, 1931-32 (the three left bays were added in 1959). Art Deco with "vertical motifs, on the German 1920s pattern of Messel and Olbrich". Grade II listed. The Co-op moved out in 2011 or earlier in 2012 I think, and the building is currently empty (2015).
