On the far left of the photo is the remains of the three-storey tower house of Kipps, built in 1625-6 and extended later in the 17th Century, but now in a ruinous state, having last been occupied in the 1880s. It sits next to the current farm of Kipps. http://canmore.org.uk/site/47914/kipps
