Skipton Building Society, formerly this fine Georgian building on Worcester Cross was home to the Bradford and Bingley Building Society, who after demutulisation and the financial crash of 2008 succumbed to take over by the Bank of Santander. With Bank of Santander taking over so many branches ultimately the inevitable happened and many closed to reduced duplication of branches. The building is Georgian dating from the early 18th century.
