Opened in 1873 by the Devon and Somerset Railway, later part of the Great Western Railway, this station closed to passengers in 1960 and completely in 1970. View west towards the buffers. The island platform lay approximately where the road now is, the buildings occupy land taken by some sidings and to the left of them was the line leading to the goods shed, which was still extant when this image was taken.
