The bird hide by the Eastern Pond on Bookham Common, a National Trust nature reserve near Fetcham noted for birds and butterflies (I was attacked by a male Purple Emperor not far from here, flew twice around my head, gave me a couple of slaps around the face with its wings and then disappeared over the tree tops. Now that's what I call a close encounter!)
