Opened in 1854 by the North Devon Railway, later part of the London & South Western Railway, on what is today the line from Exeter to Barnstaple. View north west towards Eggesford and Barnstaple. Previously there had been sidings to the left and a further platform southeast of the station, behind the camera position.
