Leven Water Works building

The main building of the Leven Water Works system, linked to Carlhurlie Reservoir a little way to the north. The plaque on the gable provides information that the Leven Water Works were enabled by Act of Parliament in 1889, works commenced around here in 1890, and were completed in 1893, with the Contractors being a firm called C. Mackay & Son of Broughty Ferry.
