Opened in 1903 as the terminus of the North British Railway's branch from Edinburgh Waverley, this station closed to passengers in 1952, after which it was used as a train depot. It closed completely in 1972. View north west towards the buffers. The station was situated at a higher level than the road and crossed it here on a bridge, with the platforms ending above where the supermarket now is.
