I was driving along Wakefield Road, as I have done hundreds of times, when I saw this post, with its plate shyly facing away from the road. This aspect, the concrete post and square wooden board with the edge of a metal plate just visible all suggested that it is on the Morley Corporation water supply main, and a visit to it a few days later confirmed this.
