At the junction with Southcoates Lane, H.M.Prison, 1865-70, by David Thorp, Borough Surveyor; completed by his successor, R.G. Smith. Many later alterations, including single-storey entrance which disfigures the main façade. Viewed from the diversionary footpath and cycle-track, Alexandra Dock, officially opened 15 May 2015.
