Simple but elegant in design this tomb is designed to be the last resting place for the remains of King Richard III of England. Originally buried in a priory nearby which was demolished long ago, his remains were still there but ended up having a car park built above them. Thanks to research & DNA testing the remains were recently discovered and identified as those of the king. He was the last king from the Plantagenet dynasty and the last from the House of York. He died in 1485 at Bosworth Field in the last battle of the Wars of the Roses. The Cathedral allow photography inside provided no flash is used. Image Image Image
