From the remaining fading advertising on the walls this building was once an outlet for the long defunct Phipps' Brewery in Northampton. The "P Phipps & Co" above the window on the right is clear enough, but the adjacent panel is much more difficult to decipher. In fact it once read "Ratliffe's Stout". This information was gleaned from a Phipps tribute website here http://www.phipps-nbc.co.uk/4.html which has an earlier photograph. There is a second Phipps sign behind the black rainwater downpipe. The property is now a private residence.
