Templecombe in south Somerset is on the main line from London Waterloo (112 miles away) to Exeter (60 miles ahead). The next station in each direction is in Dorset: Gillingham behind the camera and Sherborne ahead. In May 2015, trains in both directions use the platform on the left. The other platform and the station footbridge are no longer in use.
