Dene Well House, Great Budworth

Built in 1880. Inside is a stone plaque above the well inscribed with verse by local toff R.E. Egerton Warburton (1804-91). He was responsible for the rebuilding of Arley Hall and his verse is also to be found on signposts throughout the estate.
