In the early evening sun a boat from St Andrew Boat Club was out training on the canal. Polwarth Parish Church is also visible. This was originally a Free Church and is now Church of Scotland. The original design for the tower by Sidney Mitchell & Wilson included a spire but was later changed by James Jerdan & Son.
