On the corner of Kings Road and Foundry Lane this site was previously occupied by the DIY store Focus, formerly Do-It-All, formerly Payless but before all that it was Agate's timber yard. I remember trees sawn into planks (with the bark still on) and left to season in the yard. The sawn trees were stacked with spacers to dry out in the open air. Each tree was stacked in the order it was sawn so you could see the shape of the trunk of each tree as seasoned.
