Old school house at Thurlby, near Bourne, Lincolnshire

The board school was built in Station Road in the 19th century but the school and playground were demolished in 1988 to make way for residential development although the schoolmaster’s house was preserved as a private residence and a stone tablet on the gable end records the opening date as 1877.
