Six Acres/Snuffy Grubby Field

The name of the fields according to Clayton's 1838 tithe map that have been merged to form a larger unit. Six Acres was to the north with a section now part of neighbouring Image whilst Snuffy Grubby Field was to the south. The name of the latter gives some indication of the quality of the field in the 19th century.
