View SE, towards London (King's Cross) at Wymondley, under the St Ipolyts - Great Wymondley road. The locomotive is A1 4-6-2 No. 60157 'Great Eastern' (built 11/49, withdrawn 1/65). It looks odd without a train, but long-distance Light Engine workings were frequent on the ECML in those days.
