This is the minor road between Stretton on Fosse and Darlingscott. A railtrack used to run along the right hand side of the road. It was a GWR branch line. Although it had been a horse drawn tramway since 1836 it became steam powered in 1859. Passenger trains ran until 1929 and goods trains until 1960 when the line was closed.
