An update on Image https://web.archive.org/web/20161102010348/http://www.mortimerhouseclifton.com/house_overview.html explains that "this world-class landmark has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration programme throughout 2013/14, returning the house to its former glory. The refurbishment of Mortimer House has required significant attention to detail, retaining as many of the original period features as possible. The house will be completed to a shell finish, allowing a purchaser the opportunity to design and fit out the interior to a style and specification of their choice, working within the listed building and planning consent already granted. Mortimer House is the principal residence in a wider redevelopment project with five smaller dwellings also created to the side and rear of the house".
