Sturminster Marshall: a Newton Road sign

This is a typical old Wimborne District Council street name sign, with the embossed lettering, serif typeface, rounded corners and pointy concrete pillars. They were traditionally black-on-white, though, rather than white-on-blue. Wimborne District was renamed East Dorset District in 1988.
