Located near the corner of Clay Lane and Coventry Road, this postbox can be accurately dated to 1936. King Edward VIII only reigned for part of that year and abdicated without having been crowned. This is one of only a tiny number of surviving Edward VIII boxes in the city. It seems to be a slimmer design than the only one in the city centre in Digbeth.
