This is Buckingham Road (the familiar royal oak tree!) at 09:29 on 20 March 2015. About 90% of the sun was covered by the moon, and the light was "watery" and thin, a kind of bright but gloomy simultaneously - the image doesn't really express the mysterious stillness which pervaded the scene. It is said that wildlife is sensitive to events such as this. "My" robin was in a real vociferous "panic", flying back and forth right by the house, often near ground level for several minutes around 09:25. Image]
