A very popular pub in the Jewellery Quarter, which has a high reputation for both its food and its beers. It's bigger than it looks from the outside, as the pub extends back a long way and includes a beer garden. The building is early 19th century but the front facade dates from around 1910. This single-storey front extension was built over what had been a front garden. The significance of the bird on the roof is unknown. Image
