A blue plaque on the wall records that this building was the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School from 1558 till 1968. 1558 was the year of the accession of Queen Elizabeth I. Grade I listed St Peter's church http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4391098 is in the background.
