Recently saved from being sacrificed on the altar of the all-pervasive sport. The university want to extend the sports centre and the originally the plans involved felling these 200+ year-old oaks. That application was turned-down on the basis of the survival of the trees. Well done Nottingham City Council! I have an awful fear that somebody will "mistakenly" fell them anyway.
