The Offa's Dyke Path, north-east of Gladestry, runs into the open Access land of Hergest Ridge. This is fine walking country, and well deserves the suggestion: "So if you feel a little glum, to Hergest Ridge you should come" (Mike Oldfield; The Horse Song; Ommadawn album).
