Birdston Crossing

Looking north into the village of Birdston, the small embankment that is seen running towards the road, is the former alignment of the Kelvin Valley Railway. There was no requirement for a level crossing though, a metal bridge crossed the road between two stone abutments, the easterly one can just be seen in the foliage.
