A 1930s pub built beside a new dual carriageway, Boothferry Road, then being developed to bypass Hessle. More recently that dual carriageway has been superseded by the new A63 road near to the river. In the 1970s I visited this pub quite often and don't recall food being available. Now it's a Hungry Horse restaurant.
