This fine red brick and Portland stone building immediately to the east of Temple Church is not quite what it seems, as it dates from after WWII. It is an excellent reconstruction of the 1667 Master's House which was destroyed in the war. A very attractive garden leads up to it from some steps out of Church Court. Despite the fact that it is not the original building, it is nevertheless Grade II listed by English Heritage http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1193098&searchtype=mapsearch
