Archive photo from ca. 1930 showing the junction of Commerce Street (foreground) with Hanover Street (curving away to the left) and Castle Terrace (centre). St Clement's Free Kirk (later West St Clement's parish church) is clearly visible. The church was built ca. 1894 and demolished ca. 1970. Aberdeen Gasworks smoulders in the right background and in the far distance is the roller-coaster at the Beach.
