One of a number of roads linking Terrace Road and Queen's Road. It was originally called Newfoundland Street, renamed when the public baths were built in the late 19th Century. The site of these is where the Commodore Cinema, seen here on the left of the photo, now stands. On the skyline above the cinema is Castell Brychan, headquarters of the Welsh Books Council (see Image).
