A Grade II listed former chapel of 1857/8. It became too expensive to maintain as the 20th century drew on, and the chapel ('church' from 1897) was sold in 1978. The present Newcastle Methodist Church is on the opposite side of the road; see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4339811. For the blue plaque on the left side of the building see http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4339774.
