Looking towards the top of this ancient thoroughfare (and exit on Spring Hill). Apparently there is evidence to suggest that the land on the left would have been outside the western boundary wall of the former Roman fort. The modern houses known as "Alexandra Court" are situated at the eastern end of Alexandra Terrace and if you look carefully you can - perhaps - see where a path or alley branches off to the left to reach this road?
