This gate, on the Green Way East and on the boundary line between Maidenhead and Cookham, was erected by the Ramblers' Association in memory of Henry Bridges Fearon (1907 - 1995), who, as the writer "Fieldfare", brought a love of the English countryside to a multitude of walkers. White Brook is beyond.
