Viewed from Chestnut Avenue. The 3-star hotel is part of the THL Leisure Resort hotel group. I wondered from what language Toorak derives. Most online references for toorak are Australian, derived from the Aboriginal language Woiwurrung, in which the word can mean either reedy swamp or black crow. The connection with this location in Torquay is not obvious to this observer, so maybe this Toorak's name is mere coincidence.
