It's fascinating to compare this shot with Ben's taken from virtually the same viewpoint in 1994 Image Although the railway infrastructure remains much the same, apart from the overhead electric cables, the addition of the footbridge and a welcome lick of paint to the platform canopy roof, the scenery on either side has changed beyond recognition, with large blocks of flats obscuring the view to Southall, and the large silo on the right now demolished. The train is a down fast although judging by the waiting passengers the platforms here are now back in use.
