While it is a myth that lemmings run en masse over crags, the behaviour does exist elsewhere. Here is a traditional graveyard of the shopping trolley, which in times of economic stress and lack of shopping trundle across the plains in vast herds oblivious of sudden drops or rivers. The land in the background is being built upon.
