The western end of Barley Cop Lane has been realigned to make way for the NE abutment of the new bridge over Torrisholme Road, for the Heysham - M6 link road. The SW abutment of the bridge is visible in the centre of the photo. Beyond and to the left is an access bridge for Lancaster & Morecambe College, to link to the NW part of the site, which will be isolated by the link road.
