It's about 6.45 pm on a drizzly Friday evening and Brixton is still busy. Next door, just outside Iceland, was a street preacher in full flow and a man loitering at the busy bus stop nearby was repeatedly muttering the word "skunk" to passers by, presumably indicating that he had some to sell. (Skunk is a strong variant of cannabis and it's not a good idea to buy or use it. And you risk getting either conned or robbed buying from on-street hustlers like this man -- you'll feel unable to complain!). Neither man is shown in this picture. You'll come across similar situations here more often than not. The 1:25000 Get-a-Map for TQ3175 Brixton is incorrect. The Underground Station is actually on the A23, just south of the 2 overground railway bridges
