This private sector hospital was opened in 1981. The Cromwell Hospital has previously been owned by the Bank of Credit & Commerce International and the Abu Dhabi royal family. In 2008 it was bought by the private health and care specialist Bupa and renamed "The Bupa Cromwell Hospital".
